A 38-year-old Nigerian man identified as Tunde Bankole has been dragged to court for reportedly raping his neighbor’s wife.
The arrested man was reported to have raped the 36-year-old woman after he had an altercation with her husband.
Tunde who along with his neigbours live at True Crescent in Oko-Oba area of Agege, Lagos, was reported to have stormed his neighbor’s house while the husband was not at home armed with knives.
He was reported to have threatened to kill his neighbour’s wife if she refused his advances and thereafter ordered her to remove her clothes.
Tunde who has been remanded in a Lagos Prison was also reported to have collected his neighbour’s wife’s wedding ring after he forcefully had his way with her.
The suspect however claimed the sexual act between both parties was with consent denying the rape allegation. He however was unable to explain why he was armed with knifes while he visited his neighbour’s wife whom he claimed consented to the sexual act.
Deciding on the matter, the Presiding Magistrate at Ogba Magistrates court, Mr T.O. Shomade granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sums and the case was further adjourned till 17 August 2017.
