A man has reportedly collapsed after his salary was slashed from N18,000 to N5,000. The man, who works in Ngaski Local Government Council in Kebbi state, was unable to bear the sad news and immediately fainted.

According to Facebook user, Na-Allah Mohammed Zagga, who posted the photo on his page, the man was merely managing to survive on the minimum wage of N18,000 with the current economic recession only to receive the shocking news that it had been slashed to less than a third of the initial amount.

The economic recession in the country has affected majority of the masses negatively, and left many families struggling to take care of their basic needs.

It has also birthed a lot of price hikes, most especially in the cost of food commodities.
