The match between Manchester United and Manchester City, which was pegged to be a first look at the two new managers at their respective clubs, has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
Even though it was billed as a friendly, a lot of talk had been circulating about the game and excitement had reached fever pitch.
The cancellation was announced on Manchester United’s Twitter page and stipulated that the decision had been made by the organisers, United and City.
Devastating rains had been hitting China recently where both teams are at the moment and the huge deluge of rainfall has made the match unplayable as the conditions would be too poor.
