Michael Jackson’s brother Jermaine Jackson has officially changed his name to Jermaine Jacksun.
A Los Angeles judge approved the 58-year-old’s petition for the name change, TMZ reported.
He sought the name change for “artistic reasons” and says it has nothing to do with a recent rift in his family over the care of Michael Jackson’s children and family matriarch Katherine Jackson.
His spokesperson, told E! News that the decision to change one letter in his last name was a personal choice and it was not a big deal.
Jermaine did not attend the court hearing because he was on tour in Europe with his siblings.
