NAFDAC Nabs Man with Fake Drugs Worth N40m in Asaba

National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC has arrested a man who identified himself as Paul Osita Eli for packaging fake drugs worth N40 million in Asaba, Delta state.

Eli was arrested at No 2, Charles Edozien Avenue, Asaba while packaging the fake drugs with mobile authentication number to imitate original drugs.

The drugs he was caught with include Maloxine, Lumatem (anti-malaria drugs), LOFNAC, Buscomac and Rysovin.

Eli who told journalists that he is a grauduate of Management Sciences from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka said he has been in the business for over a year now and he usually gets the drugs from a supplier in Lagos.
