DJ Khaled’s We the Best Radio on Friday shared a 20-second snippet of Khaled’s Nas collaboration called “Nas Album Done.”

This has fueled the speculation that we will be getting a Nas album in 2016.

At the beginning of the year, Nas had appeared on Khaled’s We the Best Radio as a special guest, speaking about his illustrious career and shedding some light on his upcoming projects.

He shared more information on his album, notably that he was back in the studio with Large Professor and Da Beatminerz.

The discography of Nas consists of eleven studio albums, three collaborative albums, three compilations, one extended play, and twenty-six singles.

His last studio album was released as far back as 2012, and hiphop heads have been more than hungry for something from a rapper who is arguably the best alive.

In 2014, Nas appeared on Microphone Check with Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Frannie Kelley, where he revealed he’s been in the studio with Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, and No I.D, but apparently, nothing came out of that.

In April 2015, Nas once again spoke about his mysterious album during a concert in Orlando. He sent a clear message to the crowd that his album would be coming in the summer, however he didn’t keep to his word.

However, Khaled’s release of “Nas Album Done” has lit up a flame in the hearts of Nas’ fans. It remains to be seen whether this flame will be quelled as seems to have always been the case.
