The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has restated its determination to inaugurate the Ogbia-Nembe Road in Bayelsa.
Mr Bekee Anyalewechi, Special Adviser (Media), to the Acting Managing Director of NDDC, Mrs Ibim Semenitari, made the disclosure when he spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt.
Anyalewechi said plans were in top gear because the commission was meeting with stakeholders to finalise on plans for the inauguration.
He said the outcome of the ongoing meeting would be made known to the public.
According to him, the commission is consulting with relevant stakeholders before fixing a date for the inauguration.
“We will let you know whatever that is reached at. I suggest you wait for the outcome of the meeting,” he said.
Anyalewechi said that NDDC’s management was determined to inaugurate the multi-million Naira road project, but want to ensure that all stakeholders were carried along.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Ogbia-Nembe Road construction was a partnership between the NDDC and Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC).
