A huge dog scared a TV presenter who was live on air trying to read the news when it barked and slammed its paws on her desk, Metro UK reports.
As Ilona Linarte struggled to keep the black Labrador under control she shouted: “This is why I like cats ” in her native Russian.
Appearing on Russian news channel Mir24 TV the news anchor was caught a little off guard as the pup suddenly gave off a loud bark behind her.
She tries to carry on reporting but the dog’s head and paws suddenly land alongside her.
A little surprised she is reported to have said: “I’ve got a dog here. What is this dog doing in the studio.”
The news station was later asked for an explanation and told viewers the dog was a guest on another show and had got loose.
