NURTW factions clash in Oshodi, Soldiers take over

A major clash has occurred between rival groups of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, at Bolanle Oshodi area of Lagos, which has left many persons injured.

The battle between the groups started on Tuesday, November 22nd, and the early hours of Wednesday, November 23rd.

A faction of the group was said to be loyal to Talo Salko, and the other a Lagos resident popularly known as Bush.

A team of anti-riot policemen were reportedly sent to the scene to disperse the angry groups who resorted to the use of dangerous weapons during the clash.

However, the group was said to have regrouped on Wednesday and continued the fight.

The hoodlums were reported to have clashed with the soldiers which resulted in panic and commotion in Oshodi.

The cause of the clash is yet unknown. The soldiers are said to still be in the location.
