Olu Of Warri’s Nephew, Prince Tajirin Emiko Killed In US

The nephew of Olu of Warri, Prince Tajirin Emiko, has been murdered in Houston, Texas, United States by unknown gunmen.

The 23-year-old relative to the monarch was found dead in his car on Monday by the Houston Police Department’s detectives who concluded the death was a homicide based on reports from the coroner’s office.

Speaking on the loss which has cast gloom over the family, Tajirin’s father, Prince Yemi Emiko confirmed the loss and further disclosed that the police had begun investigation into the case.

Yemi further noted that his son’s girlfriend, Dauphine, had called him on Tuesday to report that Tajirin did not come home on Monday, a behavior described as unusual.

Yemi, Taijirin’s father further told Punch, “From reports, it happened last Monday. His girlfriend, Dauphine, called on Tuesday to say that Teejay went out and didn’t come back and it is most unusual because he always comes back home every day. So, she called the Houston Police Department and made a report.

“The next day, Wednesday, the police called her back, that they had found the body inside his car. So, the police are still investigating.

“I spoke to the detective yesterday (Friday) and also with the coroner’s office and he said they are still poring over materials, CCTV footage; you know the US have CCTV all over, so they are still analysing the footage of the recordings.”

According yo Yemi, an autopsy report which is expected this week will reveal the cause of his son, Taijirin’s death.

“Maybe early next week, we’ll begin to have a clearer pictures of what happened. The body is still with the police in their morgue, they are not releasing it until they have accomplished some level of investigation; the mother has been crying, everyone is devastated.”
