#Osun2014: Amaechi, Fashola, Oni, Ngige converge in Osogbo for strategy meeting

Serving and Former Governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress have stormed Osogbo in order to strategize on ways to stop the Peoples Democratic Party from winning the upcoming gubernatorial elections in the State.

Governors Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State; Babatunde Fashola  of  Lagos State and former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chris Ngige, erstwhile governor of Ekiti State, Segun Oni; including former factional national chairman of PDP, Alhaji Kawu Baraje, Senator Babafemi Ojudu and Senator Sola Adeyeye met with Governor Rauf Aregbesola in a closed door meeting that lasted till the early hours of Thursday.

Reports on what was discussed at the meeting include plans on how to stop PDP from winning the upcoming August 9th elections in the State and the impeachment saga hanging over Governor Nyako in Adamawa.

Addressing reporters after the meeting was over, Oni said, “We are here to strategise, regarding our preparations for election in Osun State. The way forward now is that we are going to work very hard and do whatever we should do and also we are warning that we don’t want any foul play”.

“We are going to ensure that we do everything to ensure that we get an election that would be credible, free and fair. But, nobody should take us for granted”, Oni stated.

“Whatever happen in Ekiti State, we are going to prevent that from happening here in Osun State. You have to wait until you have the full report of what occurred in Ekiti. State We were not totally fooled, after all”.

Oni continued, “Let us be very factual and clear. What we are seeing in Ekiti is a new dimension to voting, election rigging and I can tell you that we have seen it, we have studied it and we can say for sure that nobody would fool Nigerian voters again”.
