Oxlade Chamberlain on verge on joining Liverpool

1 Min Read

Liverpool have agreed to scoop up Arsenal’s Oxlade Chamberlain for £40 million and that will further propound the misery of the North London Club.

Chamberlain, who turned down a move to Chelsea FC after a deal was agreed upon, has favoured the Merseyside club and, infact, by late Wednesday was undergoing medicals with Liverpool staff at St George’s pack while preparing for England’s World Cup Qualifiers.

Arsenal had little choice but to hold talks with Liverpool over the 24-year-old for the fear that they might lose the industrious right-wing-back to nothing but stipends when his contract, which he opted against renewing despite promise of bumper pay of £180,000/week, runs out next July.

The England International was signed from Southampton for a reported fee of £12 Million in 2011 and have made over 197 appearance for the Gunners.

And with the imminent departure of the ever want-away Alexis Sanchez who has allegedly submitted a transfer request and Borrussia Durtmund’s insistence on acquiring Mesut Özil, it’s looking like the already weak Arsenal FC are about to be shred to bare bones.
