Mahmud Abbad the President of Palestine has denounced US President Donald Trump’s offer of peace to the Middle East as ‘the slap of the century’ on Sunday based on trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Abbad also deemed the US ambassadors to the UN and Israel, Nikki Haley and David Friedman as a ‘disgrace’ whilst stating that Israel had ended the 1990’s Oslo peace accords with its actions.

At a meeting of Palestinian leaders which lasted all of two hours, on how to react to Trump’s declaration, Abbad said “We said no to Trump, we will not accept your project.

“The deal of the century is the slap of the century and we will not accept it” This is in response to Trump’s offer of the ‘ultimate deal’ Israeli and Palestine peace.

Abbad has called for an internationally led process in which the US is not the mediator.

“I am saying that Oslo, there is no Oslo. Israel ended Oslo” this is in referral to the agreements that envisioned a final resolution to the conflict.
