Super Eagles captain and goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has appealed to Nigerians for total support, as he stressed that the team is starting afresh and the task of getting the desired result is a collective responsibility.
He lamented that the tag Super Chickens normally referred to the Super Eagles after a poor outing dampens the morale and confidence of the players.
“All we need Nigerians to understand is that we’re starting a new phase, we want Nigerians to start with us afresh, everything brand new.
“Not the super chickens thing that is bygone. When you call the players super chicken it does not inspire confidence to play. We need to put it behind us and forge ahead. The entire country needs to be one team and go for the kill against opponents not turn on your own,’ the Eagles Captain told www.footballlive.ng.
