Police Bust Notorious Kidnap Gang Led By Dismissed DSS Personnel, Rescue Victim

in a recent development that occurred as a sequel to the kidnapping of Alhaji Isa Ozi Salami (OFR) in Maitama Abuja on the 21st of March, 2017, the police swung into action and after 5 days, 11 of the kidnappers were arrested.

Some of them are: Kelvin Emeka, Ndubisi Prince Ozor, Abdulrasheed Maigari, a 2006 Political Science Graduate of Bayero University Kano, recruited into DSS in September 2011 and was dismissed and charged to court 12/11/2016 for robbing N310m.

Maigari was released by court on 28/11/16 and he immediately joined this kidnapping gang in Abuja. He became the coordinator of the gang and also rented the 2 houses in Suleija where they keep victims.

Others are Sunday Tyavnor, who he is the arms dealer who sold the ak47 rifle used for the kidnappings for N470k and the 2 pistols for 60k each, Zayor Alfred, Avah Joseph, Nuhu Sule, Ali Isa amongst others.

The victim, who is a former General Manager, PAN, MD Nigeria Paper Mills, Jebba and Chairman, Gateway Insurance, was rescued from the kidnappers’ hideout, a 2 bedroom house rented by the kidnappers in Suleja, Niger State.

The suspects confessed to several kidnappings within Abuja, including that of one Mr Japhet in Gwarimpa where N5m was collected, 2 university ladies with N2m collected as ransom and a fuel station owner in Gwarimpa, with N50m collected as ransom and many more
