Crisis broke out in Kaduna state after the police and Shiite Islamic movement in Nigeria (Shia) group clashed.
The group which had been banned by the Kaduna state government after it declared it an unlawful society defied the order to hold a meeting which they called “Ashura.”
Recall that there had been several clashes in Kaduna before the group was outlawed one of which left over 300 members of the Shiite group dead after solders accused them of blocking a road and plotting to kill the army chief.
