Although rumours have linked her to an amorous relationship with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, popular talking drummer and performing artiste, Aralola Apake popularly known as Ara, has denied the rumours.

She also said that insinuations that she would be the next queen were false, adding that the Ooni was like a father to her rather than a lover.

In a Sunday interview with The Punch, she said, “ There is no iota of truth to such reports , please disregard them . The Ooni is like a father to me , and he takes me as his daughter. There is no love affair between us at all. The monarch is a very great lover of our culture , and it is obvious that he has done a lot to support and promote the Yoruba culture . I am also a cultural ambassador and the Ooni has lent his support to our cause. I believe that there are a lot of potential in this country that can be tapped . If we harness the tourism potential of Nigeria , it would fetch the country more money than oil and gas. There are a lot of beautiful sites across the country that foreigners would love to visit, and with my foundation , I have decided to showcase the country ’ s beauty through movies and other forms of entertainment . ”

The singer revealed that is in a relationship at the moment and she is happy in it.

In an interview with Vanguard in November 2017, she equally debunked the rumour, saying, “The truth is in Ife I’m called Olori; people assume I’m his woman. I have been called by the widows and certain people to please come and be the Olori. They believe I am perfect for him; I understand the culture, I understand him, we’re very close but the truth is, it’s not him, so I don’t blame people who assume it’s him, honestly I don’t.”

The Ooni divorced his wife, Queen Wuraola, in 2017.
