The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari, to include more women in his government.
Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, described the recent appointment of some qualified women by the president as “timely and appropriate.”
The women leader noted in a statement she issued in Lagos that“these appointments are not only timely but appropriate. Only this week, Mr President followed it up with a further appointment of four more women as chief executives of some important parastatals in the country.
“It is worth reiterating that the foregoing is in line with your campaign promises and the manifesto to the APC” she said.
Hajiya Ramatu therefore assured that Nigerian women are committed and in full support of the president Buhari’s administration.
“While we applaud your strides thus far, we also reassure you of our commitment and prayers, because Nigerian women recognise that the way out of our present economic challenges is hard work and discipline.
“And to our deserving appointees, we are proud of your exemplary strides and we urge you to put your feet on the ground and your leadership to bear in your respective assignments. To whom much is given much is expected.”
