President Goodluck Jonathan’s Nephew Opens Fire on two People During Masquerade

Oguanisi Akpusu a nephew to former President Goodluck Jonathan was arrested after he allegedly shot two persons during a masquerade in Emeyal 1 community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.

He is no longer in police custody as the shooting has been ruled as accidental.

The CP of Bayelsa state confirmed this but failed to mention how Akpusu came to be in possession of the gun in the first place.

According to him, the victims are receiving treatment after they sustained injuries to their legs and thighs due to the gunshots.

“Preliminary investigations showed that it was a case of accidental discharge at a masquerade in Otuoke and Emeyal area of Ogbia LGA. The victims are being taken care of by the suspect and the Ogbia people. It may have been a mistake,” the CP said.
