A middle school teacher could be facing a 20-year jail term for statutory rape after having sex with a minor in Texas, USA.
Nicole Maries- Faires Andrew, has been forced to resign from her school in Texas after the incident. She met the victim while volunteering at a church.
She is being held at Williamson County jail after being charged with improper relationship between an educator and student.
Although, the minor did not attend the school where she taught, she has been forced to resign from Cedar Park Middle school after the school became are of her relationship with a high school student. However, the parents of the boy had been contacted by Cedar Park informing them about the allegations.
Ms Andrew, 31, according to the cops began the affair with the boy in October after they had met while she volunteered at a church.
She could be jailed for up to 20 years as sexual assault of a child is punishable for 20 years in prison.
