American rapper Ross, né William Roberts popularly known as Rick Ross was reportedly forced to use life support after a health scare prompted emergency services to visit his residence.

According to a Davie Police Department report obtained by PEOPLE, on Thursday morning at about 3:34am a 911 call was placed from Ross’ residence calling for emergency medical support .

According to the caller, a person matching Ross’ description was “unresponsive,” “breathing heavy” and “slobbing out the mouth.”

Ross’ former girlfriend and mother of his child, William Roberts III, tells PEOPLE, “Pray for him.”

No one is sure of Ross’ true condition as his rep has so far said nothing of the incident.

Someone who did speak though was hip-hop artist Fat Trel, who took to his social media page to reassure fans saying; “JUS TALKED 2 MY BIG HOMIE… HE GOOD… HE IN DA HOSPITAL BUT HE IS NOT ON ‘LIFE SUPPORT’ … HE GOOD.”

TMZ, however, reported that the patient was transported to the hospital via ambulance and received respiratory treatment, a report which doesn’t match up with those of a family member who “strongly denied” any report that Ross was hospitalized.

TMZ has since updated its report saying that Ross is on an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machine (ECMO) and may have suffered a heart attack.

This is not the first time that Ross has suffered from seizures, as he suffered 2 in a period of 6 hours in 2011 (his private jet was required to make an emergency landing each time).

In a bid to live healthier and therefore suffer less health scares, Ross had committed to a more spartan lifestyle losing 75 lbs in the process and sporting a leaner, meaner look.
