Ridiculous Clause In Skales’ Contract Means He Has to Pay N4.5bn To Leave Baseline Records (Reports)

Skales and his manager Osagie Osarenkhoe are allegedly in police custody currently in relation to allegations of fraud levelled against the duo by record label, Baseline records.

But beyond that, it has also been revealed that Skales’ contract with the label is terribly detrimental to him. Reports indicate that in the contract the singer signed with the label, Skales gets only 30% with the remaining 70% going to the label.

Unconfirmed reports also indicate that there is a clause that allows Skales to walk away from his contract with the label before expiry, but it comes at a price–£10,000,000.

Now even in naira that’s pretty hefty, but in pounds you’re looking at almost N5bn after conversion.
