Rivers Re-run: Gov Nyesom Wike caught on tape arranging to bribe and threatening to ‘kill’ an INEC official

An audio tape purported to be Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, threatening to kill an INEC official in the just concluded re-run election for the state National Assembly, has surfaced online.

In the audio tape, which was shared by Sahara Reporters, the man who SR claims is Governor Wike, in a telephone conversation, is heard arranging payments to INEC officials in exchange for their help to rig the election for PDP candidates in Etche, Khana, Ikwerre and other key local government areas in the state.

The man in the audio is also heard threatening to kill one of the officials who has collected bribe from him and refused to rig the election. Listen to the audio tape after the cut…
