Sahara Reporters’ Publisher, Omoyele Sowore Arrested By Police

Men of the Nigerian police have arrested Omoyele Sowore, Sahara Reporters’ publisher.

According to reports, Omoyele Sowore was arrested on grounds of criminal defamation, blackmail and threat to a London-based journalist.

The Sahara Reporters’ publisher was accused of publishing criminal content which defamed Lekan Fatodu, the publisher of Checkout International Magazine’s character and career.

Omoyele Sorore was further accused of publishing an alleged money laundering report which claimed Lekan Fatodu was responsible for laundering money for Nigerian Politicians

Men of the Nigerian police arrested Omoyele Sowore at his Lagos house and has since been moved to the Area F command in Ikeja.
