Selena Gomez’s mother Mandy Teefey has been vocal about her disapproval of Justin Bieber getting back together with her daughter.

She has also explained her reasoning behind it and stated that while she’s not in support of it, she also recognises that Selena is an adult that can make her own decisions.

She revealed this in an interview with  Gossip Cop where she said that she’s “not happy” about the return of Jelena, going on to tell the interviewer that she hasn’t spoken to Justin in “years.”

She did however say, “Selena can live her life however she wants as long as she is happy, safe and healthy,

“She is 25-years old and knows what is at stake with her health…[Selena] is an adult and can make her own choices.”

The mother and daughter combo got into a disagreement over the whole Justin situation which even led to the two unfollowing each other on social media.

The Bieber/Gomez reunion has gotten many excited as fans had long since hoped that the two would end up together. They had suffered a topsy-turvey relationship with an on again-off again model that was becoming unhealthy for the two.

Selena went on to date The Weekend and Justin had a couple of girlfriends before a meltdown of sorts for Justin which had him retreat from social gatherings and clean up his act, meanwhile, Selena needed a kidney transplant which her best friend Fransia Raisa willfully donated.

After this turbulent period, the two got close again and are now dating once more.
