A man was killed by a raging bull as he stumbled in the ring after slipping on his own cape in Southern France.
Earlier this month, a 36-year-old Spanish matador, Iván Fandiño, was gored to death by a bull named Burp after he stumbled in the ring following a slip on his own cape.
The goring resulted in punctures of many vital organs, including Fandiño’s kidneys, lungs, and heart, Complex.com reports.
He is said to have told his peers, who can be seen carrying him out of the ring, “Hurry up, I’m dying.”
Fandino’s death was the first of such an incident resulting in human death since 1921, with the only exception being that of another fighter who was killed last year.
The five-year-old bull in the video was also seriously injured, and was subsequently put down afterward.
