A Nollywood actor, Leo Mezie has been down with a kidney related ailment for a while now and there have been social media campaigns trying to raise money for his treatment.
But as opposed to the goodwill most Nigerians showed someone like Mayowa over her cancer issue, Nigerians aren’t being as sympathetic with Leo Mezie.
This could be because of his status as a Nollywood actor with access to successful celebrities or the fact that it is celebrities themselves asking people to donate.
Over on Rita Dominic’s Instagram page, the actress posted a pic of the Leo Mezie campaign and asked for help, but Nigerians were ruthless in the comments section wondering why the likes of Omotola and Genevieve couldn’t help out and why it was now the common masses that were being asked.
