“Students Are Not Animals,” Niger State Governor Sacks Food Masters In State Boarding Schools

The Niger state governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, has in the face of the ill treatment meted on students in all state owned secondary school ordered the sack of all food masters in all government owned boarding schools in the state.

The development comes on the heels of the poor state of nutrition and food given to the students of the state owned boarding schools.

The state governor was reported to have handed down the order which took effect immediately during his unscheduled visit to the Government Girls Secondary School located in Tungan Magajiya yesterday.

He was quoted to have said: “Students are not animals, even animals should not feed like this, I will not tolerate such inhumane treatment to students especially.”
