Facebook has introduced a new feature on the app that lets users erase every memory of their ex.

Given the role social media play on people’s life, Facebook has decided to introduce the ‘Take a break’ feature that enables users to control what they see online, who people see and who can view their past post.

Also, the app is trying to lower how people view false news despite the fact that with its large number of clicks it generates the app a high revenue, it, however, has a negative effect on people when they spend time consuming information rather than interacting and the app is trying “to provide more opportunities for meaningful interactions and reduce passive consumption of low-quality content”.

The Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg promised that the app is trying to encourage meaningful social interaction among users.

According to a study the social media company conducted with Robert Kraut at Carnegie Mellon University, users who engage in one-on-one interactions are likely to improve in social support, depression and loneliness.

On the other hand, those who engage in less active interactions, who click on many links and like many posts as possible are reported to have the worst mental health.

However, the company has promised to help improve conversations and help promote active interaction among users
