Three Arrested for Trying To Scam Benue Governor Of $3 million

Three individuals including a mobile police officer have been arrested by the Benue State office of the State Security Service (SSS) for attempting to scam the Governor of Benue, Gabriel Suswam of the sum of $3,000,000.

The individuals posed as operatives of the EFCC in their attempt to carry out the fraudulent act. They were said to have visited the Benue State government house claiming to be able to bury some unresolved issues the governor had with the anti-corruption agency.

Aides of the governor suspecting a scam, called in the SSS to effect the arrest.

The ring leader of the gang, identified as Mark Ugbaa, who is a member of staff of the College of Technology, Pankshing, Plateau State, is currently on the run.
