Two top Telenovela series from the stable of Telemundo are set to debut beginning March 26th. Woman of Steel season 3 premieres weekdays at 9.00pm WAT from 26 March, while Lord of the Skies premieres weekdays at 10.00pm WAT from 9 April on DStv Channel 118 and GOtv Channel 14.
Stars of the two series visited Lagos recently to interact with their fans, and talk to the press.
In the new series, Lord of the Skies,the beautiful actress Carmen Aub stars as Rustilla Casillas. Rustilla is the young, pampered daughter of a Mexican drug lord who grows up to become a spoiled teenager due to years of having everything handed to her on a silver platter.
However, she grows up to find out that life is not as easy as she has been made to believe under the protective wings of her powerful father.
Speaking about the new series during a press event in Lagos, Carmen said, “The Lord of the Skies is about this Mexican drug dealer and the first season is based on a book by Andres Lopez Lopez… It tells the original story and of course it is mixed with fiction but it is very close to reality.”
Accompanying the actress on the trip was another Mexican star, Alberto Agnesi who stars as a law enforcement agent trying to fight the overwhelming dominance of drug cartels in the country in the series Woman of Steel.
Speaking on the drug and cartel culture in Mexico, Alberto said it is a harrowing part of their country’s culture but it is a story that must be told.
