U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday, urged European security to take whatever action necessary to keep Islamist terrorists out of the U.S.

Trump’s attempt in January to block nearly all travellers from seven majority-Muslim countries is stalled in U.S. courts.

However, a revised and perhaps, further-reaching action is expected from the White House.

“We are going to keep radical Islamic terrorists the hell out of our country.

“We will not be deterred from this course, and in a matter of days, we will be taking brand new action to protect our people and keep America safe.

“I will never, ever apologise for protecting the safety and security of the American people, I won’t do it,” Trump said.

He said if it meant getting bad press, people speaking badly of him, it is okay by him.

“It doesn’t bother me, the security of our people is number one.”

Few days ago, Trump was ridiculed for comments that falsely implied Sweden had suffered a terrorist attack last week.
Trump defiantly told supporters to “take a look at what is happening in Europe, folks.”

He tweeted on Sunday that he had meant to refer to a cable news report about immigrants in Sweden.

He said, “The FAKE NEWS media is trying to say that large scale immigration in Sweden is working out just beautifully. NOT!”

On Monday, dozens of youths clashed with police in Rinkeby, a mainly immigrant suburb of Stockholm, in a riot that saw three people injured and 10 cars set ablaze.

Trump seemed to claim vindication from the later incident.

“I took a lot of heat on Sweden,” Trump said Friday, drawing laughter from his partisan audience, “and then a day later, he claimed “not too many” media sources had reported on the Rinkeby incident.

“Take a look at what happened in Sweden.

“I love Sweden: great country, great people, the people over there understand I’m right.

“Take a look at what’s happening in Germany, take a look at what’s happened in France, he said.

He seemed to be referring to truck attacks in December in Berlin and July in Nice, aa well as terrorist attacks in 2015 in Paris.

“Take a look at what’s happening to our world, folks, and we have to be smart, we can’t let it happen to us,’’ Trump said. (Dpa/NAN)
