A rather disturbing video was making the rounds on social media a few days ago in which a man was flogging his teen daughter after she was allegedly caught in bed with a man.
Even then the treatment of the girl was considered harsh as it was weird to believe that a father would be okay with his daughter being shamed that much.
Many were surprised that a father would okay the recording of his naked daughter’s beating and even give permission for it to be put online.
Well, new findings show that the girl is actually an orphan and that her father in the video is actually not her dad.
According to one Ada Ebonyi, the teen in the video has been identified as Uzoamaka, a 15-year-old Junior Secondary School and an orphan.
“The people that stripped her were top politicians in my community, people who were supposed to protect and care for her, but for reasons best known to them, they thought there could shame her, funny enough the same social media they wanted to shame her with, was the same media she is getting justice from…When the first pictures and stories went viral, concerned individuals including myself raised serious alarm and seeked for justice on her behalf.” she said.
House of Representatives member, Hon. Linus Abaa Okorie has also taken an interest in the case and has been supporting the girl visiting her at the rehabilitation center where she is currently receiving medical attention after her traumatic experience.
