Jose Mourinho has reached a deal with struggling Spanish side, Valencia which could see the 53-year-old take over at the Mestalla at the end of the season, reports say.

The club on Wednesday announced the sacking of manager, Gary Neville, who took over at the club on December 2, replacing him with assistant manager, Pako Ayestaran, who is expected to be in charge till the end of the season.

The Sun reports that the club had been in serious discussion with Mourinho since February about a possible move.

However, the Portuguese tactician is believed to be more interested in a Manchester United move, which seems more unlikely to happen by the day as the club continues to delay the sacking of boss, Louis van Gaal.

According to the report, Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes is a close football advisor of Valencia’s owner, Peter Lim, which may influence the tactician’s decision to pitch his tent at the club.

Lim is believed to be prepared to offer Mourinho a £15-million-a-year income and also provide a summer shopping package of £100 million.
