Gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has spoken out against the recent arrest of Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye AKA Bobrisky.
The activist took to his social media to speak out against the arrest stating that while people might not like Bobrisky this does not make it okay for him to be arrested.
Alimi stated that until the reason for Bobrisky’s arrest is revealed then everyone should call for his release.
He said; The continuous detention of #bobrisky is illegal and unless the police state the basis for the arrest, Bobrisky should be released #freebobrisky

He also made a video sharing love with Bobrisky and asking anyone to prove to him that being gay in Nigeria is a crime.
