What We Discussed At APC Caucus Meeting – Odigie-Oyegun

1 Min Read

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has said that, contrary to opinion, the party’s national caucus meeting that held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Monday night did not discuss his removal.

He said the party instead discussed its position on true federalism.

Recall that some aggrieved members of the party had called for Odigie-Oyegun’s removal over allegations of “illegal tenure elongation” and running the party’s account without recourse to other national officers.

Some of the aggrieved members had also gone to court to challenge the “tenure elongation”.

But despite the allegations, the party chairman said his position did not come up for debate at the meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said, “No, the meeting concluded the agenda we started the last time we met which we did not complete.

“Today we discussed true federalism, something a lot more serious, a lot more serious.”
