The Senior Special Assistant to President, Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu has reacted to comments by Nigerians praising the administration led by the Vice president and Acting president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
The aide to the president in reaction to the praises gathered by the Acting president since he assumed office in absence of Muhammadu Buhari who is on an extended medical vacation in the United Kingdom said the country has one government and as such, Osinbajo’s victory is Buhari’s.
Recall that Nigerians on social media have praised the Acting president for being more proactive and visiting more states since the mantle of leadership has been passed to him in the last one month compared to Buhari’s almost two years in office.
DailyTrust reported the president’s aide to have said over the weekend in Abuja: “This country has one government.
“When Nigerians voted, they voted for Buhari/Osinbajo on one ticket. Nobody can divide that ticket.
“So, if Prof. Osinbajo achieves a milestone, it is a milestone by the Buhari administration. It’s one government, no division in this government.”
