Woman, 66, Commits Suicide In Anambra As 2 Graduate Sons Can’t Get Jobs

A grandmother identified simply as Uzoaku has hanged herself in Mgbakwu, Awka North LGA, Anambra State.

The 66-year-old committed the act on Saturday.

According to relatives and neighbours, Uzoaku before her death had lamented that her two sons could not get jobs despite graduating from the university several years ago.

She also had a daughter who is married with children.

Uzoaku was reportedly cooking around 4.00am on the fateful day when she suddenly abandoned the food and committing suicide with a rope she tied to the burglary-proof iron of the window in her room.
