An Indian woman has been charged with attempted murder after she cut off the manhood of her husband’s brother while he was raping her.
The woman, a mother of three, told police she feigned consent to stop her brother-in-law from attacking her.
She said he attacked and would have harmed her if she had put up any resistance to his violent sexual advances.
During the act, she sprang a surprise on her attacker, completely cutting off his penis with a sickle which was lying around.
She then went to the police station in company of her three children to report the incident.
Before the police could get to the suspected rapist with medical assistance, he had already hanged himself on a tree near their house.
The woman was promptly arrested for attempted murder.
