The ‘No Job’ syndrome seems to be affecting youths all over the world. Every Tom, Dick and Segun wants a white collar job, 9 to 5, official car and apartment but later realize it isn’t as easy as they thought it would be.
Most young graduates everywhere are either completely dependent on their parents or resort to illegal means of livelihood. Well, for every problem there is a solution. Below are 10 jobs you can do while lounging in your house:
1. Web design: Being a web designer requires acquisition of skills of course but about three months of training should be enough to start a business.
2. Laundry business: Growing up in Africa already adds laundry work to your list of skills but it is necessary to learn how to handle some certain types of fabrics amongst other needful know-hows.
3. Blogging: Join the likes of Linda Ikeji by starting a blog. One advantage of starting a blog is that you can post about topics of your choice.
4. Personal trainer: Turn your home into a mini gym and make a business out of it. Being a personal trainer requires little skills. All you need is the ability to inspire people, minimal equipment and of course an examplary body.
5. Photographer: For this job, you will be needing passion, ability to spot a good background for your pictures and a good camera.
6. Meal delivery: How about cooking and delivering food to the 9 to 5 folks? You’ll be doing what you love and helping others stay healthy at the same time.
7. Gardening: You will need to learn a thing or two about gardening, prepare a small portion of land around your house, get seeds and hit the market with your fruits and vegetables once these plants are ripe for harvest.
8. Homemade crafts: This is for the creative at heart. Try your hands on soap making, knitting, decorations and so on. These items are always in demand especially during the festive periods.
9. Event planning: Planning an event requires a huge dose of coordination, organization and hospitality and can largely be done from the comfort of your home.
10. Web content writer: write! write!! write!!! Write articles for blogs, newspapers, websites and so on.
It is very possible to do more than one job in order to have various sources of income but remember that whatever job or vocation you choose should be something you are passionate about.
That way, you feel fulfilled no matter what. Do your best to make sure you are consistent and hard working.
