Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) has executed 10 Nigerian Christians as an act of revenge for killing of their leaders.

“We killed them as a revenge for the killings of our leaders, including Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Abul-Hasan Al-Muhajir in Iraq and Syria.” said a member of the group’s media unit

Salkida also claimed the failure of the government to accept the exchange offer of releasing captured ISWAP insurgents for the freedom of the Christian captives was a possible reason behind the sudden execution of the captured Christians.

Salkida made this known via his website salkida.com

Meanwhile, The Cable reports that there were initially 12 captives. They spared the lives of 2 captives for being muslims, while the remaining 10 who were Christians were brutally killed
