Rebecca Michael, a 20-year old student of the Kogi State University, Ayingba, committed suicide on Wednesday after her boyfriend broke up with her.
The 20-year old was said to be a newly admitted student into the varsity’s Department of Philosophy.

The Herald reliably gathered that Michael drank local insecticide, Sniper, when the said boyfriend, a prominent DJ in Lokoja, declared his intention to end their relationship.
She was quickly rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, where she gave up the ghost. She was subsequently buried at the Lokongoma Cemetery, Lokoja, Kogi State.
