Sleep is a very important part of our life, if you don’t sleep well during the night, you will definitely be groggy in the morning.

They also say it is good for the health, doctors recommend that sleeping 8 hours daily will do magic to your day, although the Nigerian situation hardly leaves room for better sleep.

From lack of power supply to faulty generator, all these factors contribute to your sleep deprivation. Not to worry, here are 11 tips to help you sleep better.

Get up at the same time every morning

Go to the bedroom only when you feel tired enough to fall asleep.

If you’re not sleepy, stand up and get busy till you are.

Exercise daily, but not within four hours before your bedtime.

Don’t waste any minute idling in bed.

Put off the lights as bedtime approaches.

Switch off your phones, they will distract you from sleep.

Don’t nap during the day if you’re having trouble getting to sleep at night.

Ensure your bedroom is always cool.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine and tobacco in the evening, they chase sleep away.

Do something relaxing in the hour or so before bed, so that the serenity will help you sleep.
