12 ships arrive Lagos ports with petrol, other commodity

Twelve ships laden with various products, including petrol, are at the Lagos ports waiting to berth, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Thursday.

The NPA disclosed, in its daily “Shipping Position” made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, that five of the vessels was waiting to berth with petrol.

It said that another five ships would berth with bulk fertiliser and two other ship had base oil and empty container.

It added that 312 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports between Wednesday and Augt. 19.

 

 

“The expected ships are carrying buck wheat, containers, general cargoes, lubrication oil, bulk fertiliser, bulk charcoal, bulk corn,bulk sugar, diesel, bulk gas, and petrol,’’ it said.

It also said that 21 other ships were currently at the ports discharging general cargoes, buck wheat, diesel, bulk fertiliser, Brazilian cane, bulk charcoal, bulk corn, bulk gas, petrol and container. (NAN)
