Fulani Boy Missing in Plateau

A 13-year-old Fulani boy and 86 cattle have been reported missing on July, 13, 2018.

A taskforce known as Operation Safe Heaven revealed this while ransacking the nooks and cranny of the community in search of the missing lad.

According to news report from Daily Trust, the Fulani boy was busy tending to cattle in a village in Barkin Ladi Local government area of Plateau state, when he suddenly went missing.

The report further stated that the boy was in the company of an adult while doing his job before he disappeared. The cattle were also reported to have been stolen and taken to another village called Foron that is in the same local government.

The spokesperson of the task force, Major Adam Umar stated that the sad event was reported by the Cattle Breeders Association’s branch in Barkin Ladi local government.

The association’s secretary, Gambo Abubakar also revealed that they noticed some hoof prints of the cattle and that it is suspected that they have been taken to Foron and concluded that the people who are on the lookout for the lad are local security people who are familiar with the environment.
