130 students receive eye glasses as donation from an NGO

On Wednesday, eye glasses were donated to 130 students of Junior Secondary School, Kafin-Hausa, Jigawa, who have either long or short- sightedness.

 

SiB Coordinator, Alhaji Aminu Umar, who distributed the glasses to the students said the students were earlier screened and found it was discovered they had eye defects.

He also added that 400 more pupils would also be given glasses in Bulangu, Sarawa and Ruba primary schools before the end of 2019. Umar called on parents of the 130 students to monitor the children to ensure that the glasses are properly.

 

The Chairman, Kafin-Hausa Local Government Council, Alhaji Garba Abdullahi, commended the NGO for the gesture. Alhaji Hanza Rumfa, who is the Councils Vice Chairman,  was assured the NGO of the councils support in distributing the eye glasses to the students.
