Coronavirus: 16 Stranded Nigerian Students Rescued, Isolated By Lagos Govt

Lagos State government has rescued and Isolated sixteen stranded Nigerian students at the Seme border on Friday.

This was disclosed by the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, during a televised press conference.

 

Earlier, the Commissioner for Health in Lagos State, Prof Akin Abayomi, disclosed that many Nigerians were trying to come into the country via the land borders since the closure of the airways including the 16 Nigerian students who were also stopped from entering Nigeria.

However, Sanwo-Olu has said that “the stranded students at Seme border have been rescued and isolated.

 

“We have started to see a trend that suggests we may be entering the phase of community transmission of the disease,” he added.
