Over 1 million Nigerians have applied for the N-Power Federal Government employment initiative.
This comes after one week of opening the registration portal.
According to the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Job Creation, Mr Afolabi Imoukhuede, who disclosed this while in an interactive session with the beneficiaries in Delta state, punctuality in the programme is a necessity.
He added that those who abscond from their duty post would be replaced by those willing to stay in their place of assignment.
“It is for fairness that we did not open applications for non-graduates so that those whose applications were collected could be screened and placed,” he said.
“The non-graduate scheme will be mobilized in batches from July.”
Also, he noted that 751,000 were qualified for engagement last year but 300,000 of them were then picked for the scheme.
