Pop star Tuface Idibia, who recently got married to his long time heart·throb, Annie, has said he is unsure as to what to do with the flamboyant wedding gifts given to him and his wife by the Akwa Ibom state governor, Godswill Akpabio.

Akpabio was said to have verbally presented two brand new Toyota Prado SUVs to the couple on Friday. The Governor also made bold to say that he will single handedly sponsor 29 delegates from the State to their white wedding in which will hold in Dubai, the United Arab Emirate on March 23rd.

However, the “African Queen” singer on Sunday told newsmen that the cars were yet to be delivered and that he would only decide what to do with them after they arrived.

Spokesperson of the musician, Bola Omisore, said: “The governor made a promise, when the cars come, we will decide whether to accept them or not.

We cannot take a decision on the basis of a promise that is yet to be fulfilled.”

Omisore said he wasn’t aware that presentation of the gifts had set tongues wagging.

The spokesman also declined to comment when asked if it was appropriate for the musician to accept the gift when the funds used in buying them could be used to better the lives of the citizens in the state.
