2015/2016 NPFL: MFM FC says ready for second stanza

Olawale Quadri, the Media Officer of MFM FC, on Monday said the club had prepared adequately for the second stanza of 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Quadri spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos against the backdrop of the club’s tight schedule in the league.

The club will start the second season with a home game against Nasarawa United at Agege Township Stadium in Lagos and two away matches.

Ahead of these tight fixtures, Quadri said that the club had what it takes to rise to the challenge of difficult fixtures.

“MFM FC will begin the second stanza of the 2015/2016 season with two crucial games and Federation Cup round 32 encounters; it all begins on Wednesday.

“We will continue our quest in the Nigerian topflight with Nasarawa United in the Match Day 20 at the Agege Township Stadium.

“After the game, we will travel to Port Harcourt the next day to honour our Match Day 21 game against Rivers United which will be played on Sunday.

“We will round up the busy one-week with the second round of the National Challenge Cup match against Kastina United on June 15 at a yet-to-be disclosed venue,’’ he said.

NAN reports that the Lagos-based team though a debutant has a fairly successful campaign in the NPFL squaring up with the established teams in the league.

The Lagos-based team finished the first stanza of the season claiming the 9th position with 27 points, seven points behind table topers, Wikki Tourist of Bauchi with 34 points. (NAN)
